Atlanta Video Producers founder, Eric Holder, earned his Master of Arts from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. There, Holder was a producer and communications director for the George Foster Peabody Awards.
At Peabody, considered the most prestigious prize in electronic media, Holder worked with more than 100 award-winning television and radio programs, producers and talent on awards presentations, annually live streamed from Georgia Public Television and produced live from the Waldorf Astoria, NY, aired on A&E and PBS.
Also at Peabody, Holder was recipient of a documentary grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and produced “making of” videos to recognize and promote excellence in health and medical programming communications featuring National Public Radio, Viacom and MTV. During his four-year appointment Holder was an active member of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), National Association of Television and Programming Executives (NATPE) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
As a director, producer, writer and editor, Holder has worked with a variety of personalities including media icons Sir Elton John, Josh Brolin, Walter Cronkite, Maximilian Schell, Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, Robert Osborne, Louise Fletcher and John Stamos, among others. Other notable production work includes Nobel Prize winner Paul Berg, World Champion Boxer Evander Holyfield; Hall of Famers Bill Curry and Dominique Wilkins and Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov. Executives also feel at ease on-camera with Holder who has interviewed c-level corporate leaders from IBM, DELL, Intel, Motorola, Rollins, Home Depot and Honeywell, among others.
Eric is well regarded for his ability to produce segments in the field, under deadline and on budget. Field production work includes FOX, HBO/Cinemax, Moscow TV, MSNBC, National Geographic, ESPN, NFL Network, Bravo, PBS, USA Network, Market Watch, American Medical Association, American Cancer Association, CDC, JAMA and the Environmental Protection Agency, among others. International production work includes: Australia, Germany, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos.
Holder’s in-house production team produces studio, multi-camera, content that combine cogent, brand-focused messaging with contemporary digital effects using green screen compositing and animation. Companies including Cox Media, DELL, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, Intel, LSI, Manhattan Associates, and Motorola have all worked with Holder.
Atlanta Video Producers specializes as a field production (ENG / ENP) team that supports TV/Film crews in reality, short-form news, live-event coverage and corporate video production. In addition to Atlanta Video Producers Holder owns and operates Destination Video Productions specializing in tour and travel videos for clients including the City of Conyers (Olympic venue, The Georgia International Horse Park), Alpharetta CVB and Southeast Tourism Society where he served a three-year appointment as executive producer. HolderComm is a technology-focused production arm with a portfolio of documentary style, short-form, educational videos for conferences, products and case studies including Dell / EMC, Carnegie Mellon, University of Chicago, Emory University and Georgia Tech.
